Compass Lexecon again boasted the world's largest dedicated team of antitrust economists, with 660 specialists located across its 21 offices. The firm was described as "a market leader with an enviable reputation" and "home to some of the best economists in the market", the analysis also mentions that "Compass Lexecon continues to set the standard for rival competition economics consultancies to follow."
Compass Lexecon advised on 341 antitrust matters and 162 merger-related matters globally during the GCR 100 research window, helping the parties win approval in a number of cases including Salesforce/Slack, Analog Devices/Maxim, Turnitin/Ouriginal, Thermo Fisher Scientific/PPD and Valmet/Neles.
The GCR 100 is an independent, comprehensive listing of the world’s top competition practices based on quantitative and qualitative analyses. Each entrant is assessed based on several criteria, including the number of dedicated antitrust economists, the number of affiliated economists in Who’s Who Legal: Competition and – most importantly – its work on competition matters over the past year.
