In October 2011, the Department of Justice cleared, with some required divestitures, the acquisition by Grupo Bimbo of Sara Lee Corp.’s North American bakery business. The Compass Lexecon team, led by expert Professor Daniel Rubinfeld, was supported by Chris Cavanagh, Mark Rodini, and Dan Ingberman. Compass Lexecon worked closely with White & Case LLP partners George Paul and Noah Brumfield, as well as a Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP team that included Mark Leddy, Jeremy Calstyn, and Kathy Bradish.
