It is with tremendous sadness that we share that our dear friend and colleague, Dan Cherette, has passed away.

Dan joined Compass Lexecon in 2013. From his first day, his contributions to the firm were extraordinary. He was smart, diligent, and dedicated to his work, his case teams, and his colleagues. He was a mentor to many, generous with his time, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His work ethic and calm disposition earned him the respect and admiration of everyone that had the pleasure of working with him. Dan recruited many of our talented colleagues and in that way his legacy at Compass Lexecon lives on.

Dan was an exceptional part of our office and, for many of us, a close personal friend whose loss is deeply felt far beyond the workplace. Our memories of Dan include his enthusiasm for fun games around the office, his love of craft beer and coffee, his witty word play, his passion for women’s tennis, and his unique interests such as competitive darts, space travel, and funny tweets. Dan’s wit, calming influence, and ability to connect with others made people gravitate towards him. He was a caring mentor, a good listener, and a loyal friend.

We are all better for having known Dan and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his partner Jenny, his family, and his friends.

Daniel's obituary can be found here.
