Renowned Technology and Media IO Economist Professor Matthew Gentzkow Affiliates with Compass Lexecon

Compass Lexecon is delighted to announce that Matthew Gentzkow, the Landau Professor of Technology and the Economy at Stanford University, has affiliated with the firm. Professor Gentzkow is a leading expert in industrial organization and applied microeconomics. He specializes in the economics and social impact of the media and technology industries.

Professor Gentzkow has published dozens of influential articles in leading economics journals in these and related areas. His insights have also appeared in major media outlets, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Economist, and NPR.

Professor Gentzkow has received multiple awards for his pathbreaking research. These include the 2014 John Bates Clark Medal, given by the American Economic Association to the American economist under the age of forty who has made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge, the Calvó-Armengol International Prize, the John Von Neumann Award, and the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship.

In addition, Professor Gentzkow is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the Econometric Society, a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and the Editor of American Economic Review.

Finally, Professor Gentzkow is an accomplished expert witness. He has also presented his research to the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission.
