Dr. Alejandro Lombardi is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Buenos Aires.
Dr. Lombardi specializes in the analysis of complex economic problems in the context of economic disputes and regulatory processes. He has advised on issues of regulation and competition for governments and private businesses, and on the quantification of damages in investment treaty and commercial arbitrations. Dr. Lombardi has also consulted on auction design and bidding strategy in the context of spectrum and broadcasting rights auctions in several countries. He has worked on a wide range of industries, with special focus in the telecommunications industry.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he has worked in both government and consulting. Dr. Lombardi served as a member of the board of directors of Argentina’s International Trade Commission, and as an economic advisor at the competition group of UK’s communications regulator (Ofcom). He has also worked as an associate at LECG’s arbitration practice.
Dr. Lombardi holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics.
