Allen Ferrell
Senior Consultant
Allen Ferrell is a Senior Consultant with Compass Lexecon. He is an economist with a Ph.D. from MIT (fields in econometrics and finance) and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, is the Greenfield Professor of Securities Law at Harvard Law School. He is also a faculty associate at the Kennedy School of Government, a research associate at the European Corporate Governance Institute, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a fellow at Columbia University's Program on the Law and Economics of Capital Markets, and a member of the ABA Task Force on Corporate Governance. He has served in the past on the Board of Economic Advisors to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and as an academic fellow at FINRA. He has published widely in the area of empirical law and finance with a focus on securities regulation, securities damages, and corporate governance.
He has extensive consulting and testimonial experience in the area of empirical finance, including numerous cases involving securities litigation issues (damages, loss causation, materiality), valuation issues, and corporate governance.
