Andrea is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Milan.

Andrea specializes in the application of economic analysis to competition cases, with a focus on the competitive impact of mergers, anticompetitive practices, litigations and damages estimations. He has experience across a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, transport, technology, retail and manufacturing.

Andrea has been involved in several high-profile merger cases before the European Commission and the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), such as Orange/MásMóvil and Parker Hannifin/Meggitt. He has also acted as technical expert before the Court of Milan in the context of several proceedings and he has supported the Compass Lexecon team before the Courts of Rome and Naples.

Before joining Compass Lexecon, Andrea was an Academic Fellow at Bocconi University and he worked as Junior Researcher at Bocconi University and University of Mannheim.

Andrea holds a B.Sc. in International Economics and Finance (major in Economics) and an M.Sc. in Economics – both summa cum laude – from Bocconi University, where he specialized in competition policy, industrial organization and microeconomics theory.
