Dr. Celia Ruiz Mejia is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.

Celia focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques in the context of a variety of competition cases, including regulation, cartel, merger, and damage assessment cases.

Celia has advised clients from a wide range of industries in multiple jurisdictions, including the European Union, Spain, and France. She has advised clients on high-profile global mergers cases, such as Orange/MasMovil, and Hitachi/Thales.

Celia has extensive experience in the economics of Articles 101 and 102 TFEU, having provided economic advice in a variety of litigation cases in France. Examples of her work include the assessment of cartel damages in the transportation industry and pricing practices in the electrical products market. Celia has also advised clients on the compensation quantification for breaches of intellectual property agreements in the telecommunications sector.

Celia holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics and a M.A. in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from the same institution. She also holds a BA in Economics from Universidad Carlos III of Madrid.
