Charles D. Rice is a Vice President with Compass Lexecon, based in Houston. His work primarily involves economic and financial analysis in the context of international investment and commercial arbitrations under various venues, such as ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICDR, and LCIA.
Mr. Rice has worked on arbitration cases involving companies with investments in various industries (oil & gas, consumer products, transportation, electricity generation, telecommunications, and hospitality) in diverse locations, including Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela. These matters involved damages assessments; economic, financial, and regulatory analysis; developing complex and customized valuation models; drafting expert testimony; preparing expert witnesses for hearings; and supporting counsel throughout arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Rice previously worked as an Analyst, Senior Analyst, Economist, and Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon from 2016 to 2024. He holds a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Villanova University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
