Chi Trieu

Dr. Chi Trieu is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Düsseldorf. 

Chi’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy cases.

Chi has been involved in a number of high-profile cases, including horizontal and vertical mergers, abuse of dominance, and cartel damages estimation. Chi has advised clients in a wide range of industries such as telecommunications, industrial equipment, chemicals, and digital platforms.

Before joining Compass Lexecon in 2021, Chi worked as a (Post-)Doctoral Researcher at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). She also gathered working experience through various short-term positions at the International Labour Organization (ILO), GIZ, and CBRE.

Chi holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). Her research interests lie at the intersection of Applied Microeconomics, Behavioural Economics, and Experimental Economics. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed outlets, such as The Economic Journal.
