Dmitri Perekhodtsev is a Vice President in the Paris office of Compass Lexecon. His professional practice focuses on economic aspects of regulation and competition cases, in particular in the European energy sector.

Dmitri has advised European national energy regulators, power exchanges, Transmission System Operators and major energy companies on issues related to analyses of competition and abuse of market power in the wholesale electricity markets, development of efficient design of electricity markets and monitoring their efficiency, developing models of cross-border transmission capacity allocation in the context of electricity market integration initiatives in the Continental Europe, and developing regulatory incentive mechanisms for transmission development.

Other involvement in general competition and litigation cases includes analyses of competitive effects in the context of mergers, both in the energy and other sectors, empirical analysis of economic damages from coordinated practices in several cartel investigations before the French competition authority, as well as research, strategic advice and empirical analyses for a number of other antitrust cases.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon in Europe, Dmitri was a consultant at LECG’s US-based energy group specializing in the competition and design of electricity markets.
