Federico Gonzalez Loray

Federico Gonzalez Loray is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon based in London.

Federico has worked with Compass Lexecon for over seven years, including two years in the Buenos Aires office. He has more than 10 years of experience in financial valuation and analysis and he specializes in damages assessment in the context of international arbitration.

He has participated in more than 15 commercial and treaty arbitration cases in different venues including ICSID, ICC and LCIA, and has participated in more than 10 hearings. Federico has worked in cases covering various industries, such as banking, electricity (generation and distribution), gaming, geothermal energy, oil and gas (exploration, production and distribution), pharma, steel, telecommunications and transport; with investments in countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Greece, Kenya, Luxembourg, Panama, Peru, Spain and Uruguay. These matters involved economic, financial and regulatory analysis, the development of complex and customized valuation models, the drafting of expert testimony, the preparation of expert witnesses for hearings, and direct support to counsel and client throughout arbitration proceedings. He has also been engaged in consulting activities related to the valuation of assets, payment structures, and the shipping industry.

Federico holds a Masters in Finance from Universidad del CEMA and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
