Guillaume Pugliese
Economist
Guillaume Pugliese is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.
Guillaume brings strong research and analytical skills together with an excellent understanding of energy markets. At Compass Lexecon, Guillaume has worked on several assignments related to market modelling, regulation, investment and strategic support for a wide range of clients involving utilities, developers, investors and public entities.
Over the past 5 years, Guillaume has worked in the development of many models, including the complete European power model for an international utility, Compass Lexecon's internal model for ancillary services and several models for non-interconnected island systems.
Guillaume has significant experience on issues involving European energy and climate policy, notably on decarbonisation and regulatory issues in the electricity market. He has also been involved in asset valuation (battery, CCGT, pumped storage) during due diligence and more generally during strategic investment analysis or opportunity screening.
Guillaume holds a MSc in Engineering from Mines Paris Tech (France), MSc in Engineering from AgroParisTech (France) and a M.A. in Energy Economics from the University of Paris Dauphine - PSL (France).
