Kristofer Hammarbäck

Kristofer Hammarbäck is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Kristofer has worked as a competition economics consultant since joining Compass Lexecon in 2018 and has been involved in cases before the European Commission, the CMA, national courts and arbitration tribunals. He has worked on merger control, damages litigation, cartel investigations, and commercial disputes, across several industries including the financial, transport, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and technology sectors.

Kristofer holds a D.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford. His doctoral research spanned theoretical and empirical research in industrial organization, including analyses of vertical contracting, competition in add-on product markets, and an empirical investigation of mergers in telecommunication markets. Kristofer also holds an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford, a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a PGDip in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.
