Mario R. Escarcega

Mario Escarcega is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon based in Washington, DC. He has experience consulting on antitrust litigation, damages, and M&A regulatory review cases in a wide range of industries including energy, technology, financial services, videogames, transportation, and construction for clients in the United States, the European Union, and Latin America. Mr. Escarcega specializes in applied econometrics and the analysis of large, complex datasets.

Mr. Escarcega holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM). Prior to his Master’s program, he served as an Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs focusing on trade, investment, and international cooperation.
