Michele Polo

Michele Polo is an Academic Affiliate with Compass Lexecon, based in Milan.

Michele is a Professor in Economics and ENI Chair in Energy Markets at Bocconi University where he has been Chair of the Economics Department and Vice-Rector. He has previously worked as an advisor for the DG Competition department of the European Commission.

Michele’s research interests are in industrial organization, competition policy, and regulation with a focus on network industries and digital markets. His work has been published extensively in international journals.

Michele has previously worked with two international economic consultancies. Since 2001, he has advised as an expert on several cases in Italy and Brussels.
