Richie Zhang is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Richie’s work focuses on applying economic theory and analysis to competition cases and intellectual property rights. She has experience across a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceutical, financial services, technology, transportation, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail and digital platforms.

She has worked on various merger cases before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, and other national authorities, including Google/Photomath, Parker Hannifin/Meggitt, and Thermo Fisher/PPD. She has also been involved in economic analysis related to damages, litigation, and arbitration proceedings before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) and other courts. In addition, she is part of various teams that advise on the valuation and assessment of licence prices ofStandard Essential Patents.

Richie holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Economics from University College London. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
