Sebastian is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Berlin.

Sebastian has more than 12 years of experience in economic consulting advising public and private clients in the fields of competition, energy and transport economics in various jurisdictions across Europe.

During his career, Sebastian has worked on all kind of competition-related topics specialising in advising clients in the quantification of damages in follow-on cartel litigation, where he has been involved in a large number of matters including Trucks, Sugar, Air Cargo, Car glass, Beer, Sausage, GIS, Power Transformers. Sebastian also advised clients from various industries on abuse of dominance matters, merger control proceedings in Germany, the UK and at the European level. He was also involved in UK sector enquiries and in litigation matters.

Sebastian has also wide-ranging experience in the field of energy economics supporting private and public clients in various jurisdictions in and outside Europe on questions concerning litigation and arbitration, regulation, retail and the implementation of renewable energies. Notably, Sebastian has advised several companies in the gas sector in private litigation concerning long-term gas contracts and gas storage contracts in Germany and Austria.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Sebastian has worked in Frontier Economics’ London, Cologne and Berlin office, and for Deutsche Bahn’s regulated infrastructure department. Sebastian holds a Diploma (MSc) in Economics from the University of Mannheim and Toulouse School of Economics. He is a native German speaker, is fluent in English and French, and speaks conversational Spanish.
