Zita Vasas is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Zita has over ten years of experience as a competition economist, including in the competition team of a sectoral regulator (the Financial Conduct Authority, UK) and at a national competition authority (Hungary). 

She has been involved in cases in a wide range of sectors (e.g., digital markets, retail financial products, FMCG, healthcare, telecommunications, maritime transport), policy areas (market investigations, abuse of dominance cases, mergers and policy advice) and jurisdictions (e.g., EU, UK, Australia, South Africa, Oman and India).

Zita’s background is also in competition: she completed her PhD in 2022 on topics in competition policy at the University of East Anglia and holds an MSc in Competition and Market Regulation from the Barcelona School of Economics. While working at the FCA, she gained experience in applying behavioural economics and consumer policy. She has published in the Behavioural Public Policy and in the Journal of European Competition Law & Practice.
